We strongly condemn any attack on civilians and are deeply saddened by the deaths of so many innocent people in Gaza and in Israel, far too many of them children. Our thoughts are with all the victims and their families.

Every human being has the right to security, peace and freedom, regardless of nationality, religion or ethnicity.

It is our sincere hope that the desire for peace in the region will prevail over terrorist, radical and nationalist attitudes. There is never any justification for terrorism – war has never been and will never be a solution.

To support the civilian population in Gaza and in Israel, we have decided to donate 1 million euros, including UNICEF Germany.
